Affiliate Marketing - What Exactly is It?

As you no doubt know there are many ways of making money online. However I'm going to show you what affiliate marketing is and how to get started but first I'll tell you what it isn't!

Affiliate marketing is NOT a get rich scheme. You will NOT earn a six figure income overnight and it DOES require hard work and consistency and for you to have the ability to take action.

Affiliate marketing is where a person who is an affiliate sells a merchants product or service and receives a commission from either the sale or by the merchant receiving a new lead or several other means. So to make money you need to send the customers to the merchant through your affiliate link. In turn you get paid (usually a percentage) for every sale you make through your link.

Now affiliate marketing is a very good way, perhaps even the best way to start an internet business because there are lot of benefits you can get from it, such as;

• Low overhead cost to start. You don't need to pay for an office or hire employees and you definitely don't need to have any inventory or stock.
• Can get started online with no money but only your time and energy if you so wish.
• It can provide you with a good passive income. Once you get a system up in place you can easily set and forget and still make money in months, perhaps even years to come.
• No need to create your own products. You can spend your time and energy promoting other peoples products instead of wasting your time and energy creating a product that might have no buyers.
• You can get started quickly. You can literally start promoting in 5 minutes or less.
• You can test a market to see if it's profitable with other people's products before creating your own.
• No support issues. You let the merchant take care of the customer. Your job is only to bring them in.
• Be your own boss working your own hours doing what you love. There are also some tax benefits in working from home as well.

However as with everything that has benefits there are downsides too which includes;

• You might be targeting a market or promoting a product with no buyers.
• Some merchants can decide to keep your commissions and not credit you for sales they made through you.
• Hijackers can hijack your customer by replacing your cookie with their own so that they will be credited with the sale and not you.

As you can see though the benefits far outweigh the cons and affiliate marketing is an excellent business model for anyone that wants to work from home and have a second income. Quite a lot of successful people are making an excellent living from affiliate marketing. With a bit of determination and action you will be making an income as well.

Learn How to Make Money Through Affiliate Marketing - The Key to Getting Started

Would you like to learn how to make money through affiliate marketing programs?
In case you don't know what affiliate marketing (or Internet marketing) is... companies, or people with a product to promote (sell), in addition to marketing those products themselves, will license other people (affiliates) to market those products as well. This is really a "win - win" situation: the product owners sell more products due to the increased marketing activity; and the affiliates earn a commission selling products that they do not own. Almost every imaginable product is available through affiliate programs; even Wal-Mart accepts affiliates and pays commissions.
If you want to learn how to make money through affiliate marketing programs, you will need to do some research and sign up with some affiliate programs. Most are free to sign up with. You can locate a lot of programs just by typing "product type + affiliate" into a search engine (purses + affiliate, jewelry + affiliate, etc.) in order to generate a list of companies that sell those products and which offer an affiliate program.
One of the best things about learning how to make money through affiliate marketing programs is that you can really get started with little or no money invested up front. This truly is an opportunity to start your own home based business, and all it will cost you initially is your time.
As an affiliate, you can chose to sell only digital products that are usually available for immediate download once purchased, or you can sell physical products that will be shipped once the customer completes an order; or you can promote a mix of both. Digital products typically pay a much higher commission than physical products; up to 75% of the purchase price; whereas physical products pay a much lower commission due to the fact that they have to be warehoused and shipped once manufactured.
Affiliate marketing really is a fantastic way for average people like you or I to get started generating an income working from home in our spare time. The possibilities and products that you can promote are practically endless, you can devote as much or as little time to it as you like, and, you can get started with little or no budget.
What is not to like!

Making Money Quick - 3 Ideas to Make Money Fast

If you need help making money quick, then listen up. This short article shows you exactly to make money fast with 3 proven ideas. Sure, you've got to take a little action, but I'm talking about making money quick, like as fast as tonight. So, let's not waste anytime. If you follow along, you can truly get money quick. Here's 3 ideas to make money fast:
Make Quick Money Online
The fastest and easiest way to make some money right now is to look through your attic, garage, and wherever else you (or your spouse) keeps your junk. Find everything you can and list it on eBay. You'd be surprised how many people buy stuff on eBay...stuff that you honestly would rather just throw away.
Selling some of your old collectibles can produce a pretty penny as well. I've seen a friend of mine sell his old coins for thousands of dollars online. Ah, the power of eBay.
Now let's pretend for a second you don't have a garage full of stuff (you know you do!). What can you do then? Here's a supertip for you. Go to sites like freecycle.com and see what people are giving away for FREE. Go pick it up, then sell that on eBay. A little cheezy I know, but hey, you did say you want to be making money quick, right?
If that doesn't product enough money fast enough for you, try this:
Get Quick Money Given To You
Let's face it. We all know someone with money. Heck, in my family I'M the one with money! I can't tell you how many times I've coughed up thousands of dollars for a friend of family member. Sister needs college money? Here ya go. Mom needs knee surgery? Got it. Friend needs a new laptop for his job? Sign me up!
So, sadly you aren't my friend (yet!) or in my family. But odds are you know someone who has a few extra bucks laying around. Make the phone call. Tell them what you need. Make sure you use a REASON WHY. That's what it's all about. I need $1,000 because I want to start an online marketing business and I can get a personal coach to help me setup everything, Uncle Rich. (like that name?;)
If begging and pleading doesn't work, don't worry. There are other alternatives. You can hit up payday loan and cash advance places. There in your town. Google them. They are not the best places usually and I don't really like the practice. I'd only recommend them if it was such a necessity that life and limb were on the line.
Otherwise, I'd keep working on Uncle Rich or check in Granny. But, what if you've got no family with money and time is running out. You've got to make money fast...and I mean quick. Like, yesterday, even. Here's the real secret to making money quick:
Make Money Working Online
OK, so by now you're expecting me to sell you something. But, don't worry. I've got something you can do for free to make quick cash. You might not like it, but it is pretty fast and easy.
Join Elance.com. It's free to join. (yay!) You can setup an account and start doing any odd jobs you possibly can. Companies and people like me put jobs on there that pay anywhere from $50 all the way up to the tens of thousands. I'd start small if I were you. Focus on what you can already do.
Some examples are accounting, copywriting, editing, translation, web design, virtual assistant, and a lot more. If you can't find anything you can do there then try these 2 sites:
Fiverr.com and MTurk.com
They don't pay as much, but the jobs you can do are a lot easier. Actually, the site Fiverr.com is up to you. You post what job you will do for $5.00. It can get a little crazy in there. But hey, $5 is $5 right?
If you don't mind putting in a little effort you can setup a blog and find affiliate offers to promote. You can setup a free blog at Blogger.com or WordPress.com. Pick a niche you like. Could be knitting, writing, whatever. Use ClickBank.com and CJ.com to find affiliate offers you can add to your blog. When people click your affiliate links and buy, you get paid.
Through CJ.com you can even promote eBay products. What do you know, we've come full circle. To make even more money off your blog, you can add Google AdSense. These are ads that Google runs on your site and when your visitors click the ads you get paid. Sometimes I get clicks that pay me $2-$4. Isn't that cool?

1 click an hour and you're making decent money everyday. What have we learned about making money quick? So, what have we learned? If you're looking to make money fast you're easiest option is to start with eBay. Go through the garage, the attic, wherever and start listing. Just think, you can make a few bucks AND finally see your garage floor again. After you've exhausted your eBay stash, start calling the friends and family. At least one of them has some money they need to give to somebody. What not you? I heard Uncle Rich is waiting for your phone call. Just remember, after you say how much you need, follow up with the word because and explain why.

And after that...go to elance.com. Find odd jobs, do them. Make money fast and easy. Quickly, even. It's all up to you. Good luck, though with these ideas to make money fast you won't need luck.

How to Make Money Defaulting on Your Credit Cards

On many levels, the situation with lenders and borrowers has gone beyond absurdity. Borrowers happily spend themselves into a deep pit. Lenders keep interest rates so high that those in trouble can never repay their debt, as much as they might want to. Lenders are happy with getting minimum payments forever.

This unhappy cycle just keeps working its way through until the borrower defaults and gets put into the collection system. Once there, the borrower is best advised to ignore collection calls and letters, until they can scare up some cash to try to make a deal.

I have a client, a widow, who came to us with about $30,000 in credit card bills. She was actually liquidating furniture and heirlooms, trying to sell her dead husband's gun collection to pay minimum payments on her cards. Her real estate taxes had been unpaid for two years, and she was behind on her mortgage, but she was doing everything she could to keep the credit cards current. She had been doing so for four years since her husband died. When we met, she was not even sure if her name or her husband's, or both, appeared on the bills.

Like many people, she had never even thought of the idea of not paying. She always paid her bills. Also, like many people, she would never have filed a bankruptcy case under any circumstances. As a result, she was very near the mental edge. I told her that if she kept her present plan, she would wind up broke, and that her really important bills, food, real estate taxes, mortgage and utilities had to come first. Though she wanted to pay the credit card companies, it was simply a mathematical impossibility.

Over time, she accepted this fact, and I gave her basic instructions, don't talk to collectors, give me her mail, I would make deals or eventually litigate the claims to resolution. Everything seemed fine. A strange twist then developed. She did not have caller ID. Also, she had family and was afraid that if she missed a call, she would miss something big. So she answered the phone, every time it rang. She tried to explain that she had a lawyer. She was a clerical worker, so she could really type. Most collectors she spoke to were courteous and polite.

Some were not. She got calls during which she was abused, called names and threatened with lawsuits and even jail. She dutifully typed out the details of these calls, the time and what was said, and turned them over to me. I am not all that interested in suing collectors. I am out to make deals or litigate and get my clients' finances straightened out.

But these collectors were making it hard not to take action. I am very good at holding collectors accountable for violating the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act. Each time she gave us the details of a violation, I filed a suit on her behalf. Each time the suit had no defenses. Often the underlying claim can be worked out in the context of resolving these suits. While the monetary details of the lawsuits are irrelevant, she might be the only client I ever have who will recover from the credit card companies and their collection agents almost as much as she borrowed.

A borrower who wants to pay but cannot, a lender who wants money but does not care how it goes about collecting it and the interplay of consumer protection statutes, lead to a result more absurd than could be imagined.

How to Make Money Online with YouTube

Making videos for YouTube — for three years a pastime for millions of Web surfers — is now a way to make a living.
Christopher Capozziello for The New York Times
Michael Buckley quit his day job in September. He says his online show is “silly,” but it helped pay off credit-card debt.

Readers' Comments

Readers shared their thoughts on this article.
One year after YouTube, the online video powerhouse, invited members to become “partners” and added advertising to their videos, the most successful users are earning six-figure incomes from the Web site. For some, like Michael Buckley, the self-taught host of a celebrity chatter show, filming funny videos is now a full-time job.
Mr. Buckley quit his day job in September after his online profits had greatly surpassed his salary as an administrative assistant for a music promotion company. His thrice-a-week online show “is silly,” he said, but it has helped him escape his credit-card debt.
Mr. Buckley, 33, was the part-time host of a weekly show on a Connecticut public access channel in the summer of 2006 when his cousin started posting snippets of the show on YouTube. The comical rants about celebrities attracted online viewers, and before long Mr. Buckley was tailoring his segments, called “What the Buck?” for the Web. Mr. Buckley knew that the show was “only going to go so far on public access.”
“But on YouTube,” he said, “I’ve had 100 million views. It’s crazy.”
All he needed was a $2,000 Canon camera, a $6 piece of fabric for a backdrop and a pair of work lights from Home Depot. Mr. Buckley is an example of the Internet’s democratizing effect on publishing. Sites like YouTube allow anyone with a high-speed connection to find a fan following, simply by posting material and promoting it online.
Granted, building an audience online takes time. “I was spending 40 hours a week on YouTube for over a year before I made a dime,” Mr. Buckley said — but, at least in some cases, it is paying off.
Mr. Buckley is one of the original members of YouTube’s partner program, which now includes thousands of participants, from basement video makers to big media companies. YouTube, a subsidiary of Google, places advertisements within and around the partner videos and splits the revenues with the creators. “We wanted to turn these hobbies into businesses,” said Hunter Walk, a director of product management for the site, who called popular users like Mr. Buckley “unintentional media companies.”
YouTube declined to comment on how much money partners earned on average, partly because advertiser demand varies for different kinds of videos. But a spokesman, Aaron Zamost, said “hundreds of YouTube partners are making thousands of dollars a month.” At least a few are making a full-time living: Mr. Buckley said he was earning over $100,000 from YouTube advertisements.
The program is a partial solution to a nagging problem for YouTube. The site records 10 times the video views as any other video-sharing Web site in the United States, yet it has proven to be hard for Google to profit from, because a vast majority of the videos are posted by anonymous users who may or may not own the copyrights to the content they upload. While YouTube has halted much of the illegal video sharing on the site, it remains wary of placing advertisements against content without explicit permission from the owners. As a result, only about 3 percent of the videos on the site are supported by advertising.
But the company has high hopes for the partner program. Executives liken it to Google AdSense, the technology that revolutionized advertising and made it possible for publishers to place text advertisements next to their content.
“Some of these people are making videos in their spare time,” said Chad Hurley, a co-founder of YouTube. “We felt that if we were able to provide them a true revenue source, they’d be able to hone their skills and create better content.”
In a time of media industry layoffs, the revenue source — and the prospect of a one-person media company — may be especially appealing to users. But video producers like Lisa Donovan, who posts sketch comedy onto YouTube and attracted attention in the fall for parodies of Gov. Sarah Palin of Alaska, do not make it sound easy. “For new users, it’s a lot of work,” Ms. Donovan said. “Everybody’s fighting to be seen online; you have to strategize and market yourself.”
Mr. Buckley, who majored in psychology in college and lives with his husband and four dogs in Connecticut, films his show from home. Each episode of “What the Buck?” is viewed an average of 200,000 times, and the more popular ones have reached up to three million people. He said that writing and recording five minutes’ worth of jokes about Britney Spears’s comeback tour and Miley Cyrus’s dancing abilities is not as easy as it looks. “I’ve really worked hard on honing my presentation and writing skills,” he said.
As his traffic and revenues grew, Mr. Buckley had “so many opportunities online that I couldn’t work anymore.” He quit his job at Live Nation, the music promoter, to focus full-time on the Web show.
There is a symmetry to Mr. Buckley’s story. Some so-called Internet celebrities view YouTube as a stepping stone to television. But Mr. Buckley started on TV and found fame on YouTube. Three months ago, he signed a development deal with HBO, an opportunity that many media aspirants dream about. Still, “I feel YouTube is my home,” he said. “I think the biggest mistake that any of us Internet personalities can make is establish ourselves on the Internet and then abandon it.”
Cory Williams, 27, a YouTube producer in California, agrees. Mr. Williams, known as smpfilms on YouTube, has been dreaming up online videos since 2005, and he said his big break came in September 2007 with a music video parody called “The Mean Kitty Song.” The video, which introduces Mr. Williams’ evil feline companion, has been viewed more than 15 million times. On a recent day, the video included an advertisement from Coca-Cola.
Mr. Williams, who counts about 180,000 subscribers to his videos, said he was earning $17,000 to $20,000 a month via YouTube. Half of the profits come from YouTube’s advertisements, and the other half come from sponsorships and product placements within his videos, a model that he has borrowed from traditional media.
On YouTube, it is evident that established media entities and the up-and-coming users are learning from each other. The amateur users are creating narrative arcs and once-a-week videos, enticing viewers to visit regularly. Some, like Mr. Williams, are also adding product-placement spots to their videos. Meanwhile, brand-name companies are embedding their videos on other sites, taking cues from users about online promotion. Mr. Walk calls it a subtle “cross-pollination” of ideas.
Some of the partners are major media companies; the ones with the most video views include Universal Music Group, Sony BMG, CBS and Warner Brothers. But individual users are now able to compete alongside them. Mr. Buckley, who did not even have high-speed Internet access two years ago, said his YouTube hobby had changed his financial life.
“I didn’t start it to make money,” he said, “but what a lovely surprise.”

The goal of this article is to explain how you can make money using the Amazon Affiliate Program. First, I will explain what an affiliate program is and how you can use it to make money. Then I will explain the various tools and techniques that you can use to implement the Amazon Affiliate Program on your website.
What Is an affiliate program?
You may have heard the term affiliate program, but what exactly does it mean? Essentially an affiliate program is a system that allows webmasters to earn money by referring customers or leads to another website that sells goods or services.
When you sign up for an affiliate program such as that offered by Amazon.com, you are known as the affiliate. The affiliate does not sell any product. He or she simply refers potential customers to the storefront on another site.
To use the Amazon affiliate program as an example, the affiliate gets a small percentage (commission) whenever an internet user goes from the affiliate's website
to the Amazon.com website and buys something from that website.

How Does the Amazon Affiliates Program Work?

This section explains the basic workings of the Amazon affiliates program.
The Amazon affiliates program is one of the oldest on the internet. Amazon pioneered this method of marketing when the internet was still in its infancy.
At its most basic level, the program works like this:
1. You sign up for the Amazon Affiliates program.
2. Once approved by Amazon, you will be given access to a special area on their website which gives you a number of ways that you can link to the Amazon site or specific products they sell.
3. You then create affiliate links on your site which point to Amazon.com or any product on their site. If a visitor to your site clicks on one of the approved affiliate links and goes to Amazon.com and they then buy something from Amazon.com within the time period specified in the affiliates agreement, you get credit for the sale and a commission on the total selling price, not including shipping.
4. Once your total sales reach a certain minimum level, Amazon.com will pay you your commission. Commissions are paid quarterly (every 3 months). If your sales do not reach the cutoff level in any given quarter, they are carried over to the next quarter and so on until you qualify for a pay out.
5. As with all affiliate programs, you have to follow the terms of the affiliate agreement carefully, and make sure that the way you promote your affiliate links in accordance with the agreement. You may be kicked out of the program and lose whatever commission you earned. For example, a big no no is you cannot buy stuff from Amazon using your own affiliate links. Otherwise everyone could give themselves a secret discount simply by signing up for Amazon's affiliate program and then visiting Amazon.com from a link that they place on their own website.
6. Obviously, in order to make any money, the visitor must go from your website to Amazon.com using an approved link. If you just place a normal HTML link to Amazon.com you will get no credit. An approved affiliate link, on the other hand, incorporates your unique affiliate ID which guarantees that Amazon can keep track of who referred them the customer and give you proper credit.

How Much Can You Earn Using the Amazon.com Affiliates Program?

How much can you earn? It is not possible to predict what you will earn because the affiliate commissions you earn will be affected by
  1. the cost of the item sold ( the higher the sale price, the greater your percentage)
  2. how many items you sell in a quarter. Amazon has an incentive program in which your percentage or commission increases once you reach certain performance levels.
  3. how many visitors you get to your site and how many of these follow the affiliate links to Amazon.com
  4. And lastly, how many of the people you send to Amazon.com actually buy something once they are there. This is known as the conversion rate. You should also note that under the terms of the Amazon.com affiliates agreement, the customer you refer must buy something within 24 hours in order for you to get credit. So if you refer someone but they take two days to make up their mind, you will not get any commission.

How to Make Money Using the Amazon Affiliates Program

This section explains how to make money with the Amazon affiliate program.
Making money with the Amazon affiliate program (or any other similar program for that matter) involves driving visitors from your site to Amazon's site for the purpose of buying something. The more visitors you send over, the greater the chance that someone will buy and that you will earn a commission.
Sounds easy, right? Well, obviously, it's not that simple. First, you need to get people to your website. Secondly, you need to give them a reason to want to buy something from Amazon.
Let's use an example: Jane has a website dealing with tropical fish. She writes informative articles about how to care for tropical fish, how to choose an aquarium, what foods they eat, how to treat tropical fish diseases, etcetera.
Because Jane's site has niche content, she is not competing with millions of other sites selling the same thing so she ranks high on the search engine results for terms such as "tropical fish".
Jane is happy. She gets lots of visitors, but she wants to make some money from all the internet traffic. So she signs up for the Amazon Affiliate Program and places links from her site to Amazon.com. But she makes no money. Why?
The reason is that it is necessary to make the visitor to your site want to check out more on the Amazon site. So for example, Jane could write an article about fish, and then provide direct links from the article to specific products mentioned in it. If her article recommended a specific type of aquarium, she could provide a link directly to that product on Amazon.com
In other words, the links should be relevant to what the people who came to your site were looking for in the first place.

How Do You Create Links Using Amazon.com's Affiliate Program?

This section explains how to create links on your site using your Amazon affiliate ID so that you get credit for all sales that you generate.
Amazon offers a number of creative ways that you can link to their site and make money whenever someone goes from your site to theirs and buys something. Not every link will work for your site. I will discuss the best linking methods below. You should also note that this page itself displays amazon products using an affiliate link, so if you were to click on any of the products shown and then buy from Amazon either I would get a commission.

  • Recommended Product Links : this system allows you to display several product images and descriptions based on a key words that you pick. This will guarantee that the products displayed are relevant to your site. You can also control the size of the display box and its appearance such as color.

  • Search Box: You can place a search box on your site that lets people search the Amazon website. If they find something and follow the link to Amazon to buy, then you get credit.

  • Omakase Links: Omakase comes from a Japanese word meaning, I'm told, leave everything to us. Using this method, you place a code on your site and Amazon can tell what your webpage is about and display products relevant to your content. In principle, it works similarly to the Google Adsense program in which ads are displayed based on the content of your site.

  • Context Links: This method allows you display text links within the body of your article which lead to relevant products or pages on Amazon.com. For example, let's say that you wrote an article about Harry Potter. The word Harry Potter could be linked directly to the movie on the Amazon site.

  • Slide Show: This is a really fancy and eye catching linking method, though I find that it can slow your site down a bit. Basically, you select products that you want to show and they are then displayed in a rotating slide show. The movement of the products is sure to get everyone's attention, which increases the chances they will click on them

  • Unbox Videos: This method allows you to display studio movie trailers and previews of TV shows available for download from Amazon.com. This method is well suited to a movie review site or a site devoted to a particular actor.

There are many more linking methods, and not all will work for you or your website. For more information about Amazon's affiliate program and where you can get tips and ideas on how to make money with it, please check out the links provided. Making money with RSS Feeds

First it was banner ads, then Google AdSense and now, the latest way to make money on your web site could very well be RSS feeds. Say what? I said: RSS is hot and you should be using it to drive eyeballs to your site. Here's how it works:
Depending upon who you ask, RSS stands for "Really Simple Syndication" or "Rich Site Summary". Regardless of what you call it, RSS is a way to automatically publish (syndicate) someone else's content on your web site. Now don't worry, that's not the same as stealing someone else's content. There is nothing illegal about using RSS feeds. In fact, the publisher of the content wants you to have it show up on your site and that's why he or she makes it available as an RSS feed to begin with.
So what's in it for all parties concerned?
Using RSS is a win-win for both the publisher of the content, who gets their name out to potentially millions of sites and you, the web site owner who is pulling the content onto your site.
Content, by the way, means anything that a publisher decides it means. Typical content includes news headlines, new product update notices, blog summaries and lots of other stuff. It's the "content" portion of the equation that's good news for you.
Show me the money
One of the best features of hosting RSS feeds is that it gives your site an endless source of freshly updated and relevant content. This content acts as natural search engine spider bait which they will fill their little tummies on and come back for more every day. Their appetite for fresh content keep your rankings up.
Sticky Loyalty isn't a new Ben & Jerry's flavor, but it should be the goal of any serious webmaster who wants to create a web site that visitors return to over and over again. The use of carefully selected RSS feeds can make that happen by offering unique content which can't be found anywhere else.
Now please don't make the mistake of thinking "But they can get that same content at the publisher's site, why should they come to mine?". Just build it and they will come! Sorry, I couldn't resist saying that, but it's true. In addition to the RSS content, which they surely can get somewhere else, you are going to add your own sticky loyalty stuff that's all about whatever your site is all about to begin with. That combination of your own content and the RSS feed makes visiting you a purely unique experience that can't be found anywhere else.
You don't have to be a member of the Geek Squad to start showing RSS feeds on your site. Just visit any of the links below and get busy using RSS to make mo' money.

Using RSS TO Make Money Online

You probably know that RSS stands for "Remote Site Syndication", but what does that really mean to you as a marketer and more importantly can you use RSS to make money online?
As you keep reading you will learn to understand the benefits of using this recent technology in your internet marketing efforts to increase traffic and profits.
Plainly put, RSS feeds are printed in XML, a unique mark up dialect much like html. That means that they have mechanisms included that detect structures in a file. The structures identify the content and how that content will be displayed inside that file. RSS is what makes big newscast websites feasible: RSS documents are used to generate a data feed which will send headlines, links or virtually any other portion of information to a channel viewer application, regularly called a news reader.
These readers are subscribed to certain RSS feeds and constantly check them, alerting the user when any new information has been added to the RSS feed.
So, how can you use this to your benefit in internet marketing?
Here are the most common ways to integrate RSS feeds into your marketing plan:
you can use RSS to replace any email marketing you are presently doing, use RSS feeds to increase traffic to your blog or web site or build your own RSS feed so your messages and information show up on thousands of websites, blogs and desktops via the internet.
While many marketing experts will agree that email marketing isn't over, with the advent of increasing spam complaints and filters coupled with the danger of viruses originating from an email, more and more people are wary of even opening your email.
With RSS, your email won't ever get filtered and have a greater chance of actually being read vs. a normal email and your marketing outcome can only be better when people actually read your messages. You can even incorporate autoresponders in conjunction with RSS.
With RSS feeds on your web site or blog allows you to add dynamic theme related content to your web pages making your web site or blog very popular with the search engines. The constantly updated content is just what the search engines desire and helps increase your search engine ranking with more traffic driven to your page.
Possibly the best way to use RSS to help your online marketing goals is to establish your own RSS feed. This way your information will be available on any website that is using the RSS feed you are supplying that information to.
There's even automated software to submit your RSS feeds to the different directories that furnish the feeds to people using them as described above.
RSS is still a relatively unknown technique of increasing traffic to websites, but is becoming more accepted every day. As an internet marketer, this is a great opportunity to benefit by this this new technology before all the online gurus start taking advantage of RSS.
There is a lot of information on the internet pertaining to RSS and how to use it as a tool in marketing. The basis of this writing is only the tip of the iceberg to get you aquanted with Remote Site Syndication, and yes you can make money with rss!
